Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge, just an hour from Downtown Richmond and two hours from Washington, DC, a quiet retreat awaits. Rolling hills and fields of vines surround our newly renovated facility. First Colony Winery is the perfect spot for a weekend visit, private dinners and parties, or corporate events!

Our facility offers beautiful decks and patios as well as ample indoor space to make a truly memorable and comfortable visit for you and up to 150 guests. The tasting room, winery and gift shop are open daily from 11am to 6pm for tours and tastings.

WEDDINGS

Having a wedding celebration in a special environment enhances the experience for all who participate. Creating that truly memorable wedding at First Colony Winery is easy. Host your ceremony and/or reception on our grounds, overlooking vineyards or indoors in our beautiful hospitality center with panoramic views.

Our slate and brick patio, two-tiered deck, or lawn are ideal outdoor sites for a ceremony or reception of 200+ guests.

Indoors, our Garden Room, Tasting Room, and Randolph Room can accommodate parties up to 150 guests. Three double doors open to create a nice flow from the outside in.

First Colony Winery has everything you need: tables (5’ round and banquet), chairs for the reception, changing room for the bride, dimmer switch lighting, multiple rooms and sizes, convenient to Charlottesville, kitchen access, on-site parking, flexible catering options.

An industrial kitchen is located off the Garden Room and contains all your caterer's needs to prepare for your special day (oven, 6 burner range, grill, refrigerator, freezer, triple sink, dishwasher, prep tables, and more).

CORPORATE EVENTS

Get away from the office to clear your head. First Colony Winery is a great place for an office meeting, teaming building retreat, to kick off a special project, or reward a job well done with a day of wine tasting and relaxing.

The serene setting will help refresh even the most overworked. Have a meeting in the morning and end the day with a tour and tasting, or a cooking class.

The Randolph Room offers ample seating at round or banquet tables, a projection wall, electrical outlets, and restrooms.

The Garden Room can easily accommodate smaller meetings and gatherings of up to 30 people.

Wireless Internet access is also available throughout the building.
